Hospital adds Web page features

| July 18, 2012 9:41 AM

St. John’s Lutheran Hospital has added new features to its Website, www.sjlh.com.

“In addition to the various features already offered on our Website such as the Delivery Room, Caring Bridge, online bill pay and donations, and the E-Card feature, we’ve added Upcoming Events and a Story Time: Health Care Heroes page to our Website, as well as a button that will link you directly to the Foundation’s Facebook page,” said KC Hoyer, Marketing Manager at St. John’s.

“We hope that the community will embrace these changes and use our Website as a resource.”

The Upcoming Events page explains the various events hosted by St. John’s Lutheran Hospital and the St. John’s Lutheran Hospital Foundation.  The page includes a description as well as the dates, times, and contact information for each event.

In addition, if there are separate pages on the Website for any of the events, the Upcoming Events page contains a link directly to the page for that specific event.

The second addition to the Website is the Story Time: Health Care Heroes page.  This page contains real stories and photographs of local people whose lives have been saved or improved because of the services and staff at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital.

“We are very proud of this page,” stated Hoyer.  “It is so exciting to be able to share these stories with the public.  When we sit down with these folks to interview them about their experiences it reminds us how precious life is and how fortunate we are to have this hospital here in South Lincoln County.  It reminds us why we come to work every day!”

The third addition to the website is the link directly to the SJLH Foundation’s Facebook page.  On this page you can look at pictures from past Foundation and Hospital events and stay current and up-to-date on foundation happenings and fundraising goals.  “The Foundation Facebook page is new, and we are so excited to have one more way to keep people informed about the good works of the Foundation and the board members who serve on it.  Remember, that in order to get the updates, you have to ‘Like’ the page.  We encourage our community members to get on Facebook and check us out!  The pictures are fun to look at, and you might even find pictures of yourself or somebody you know from one of our previous events!”

All of these features can be found by logging on to www.sjlh.com and clicking on the “Upcoming Events”, “Story Time: Health Care Heroes”, and “SJLH Foundation Facebook” buttons on the right hand side of the screen.
