Roy M. McMillan, 69, of Troy

Roy M. McMillan, 69, of Troy died Saturday June 30, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital from natural causes.  

He was born July 6, 1942, in Larned, Kan., to Wilbur and Dorothy Mostrum McMillan.  He grew up and attended school in Kansas.  

Roy came to Montana to visit dad and met his future wife, Barbara Raan.  They were married Feb. 28, 1965, in Troy, Mont.  

Because of Roy’s work as a core driller the family lived all over the United States.  

Roy was forced to retire in 2001.  Roy enjoyed working with computers and teaching people how to use them.  

Survivors include his wife Barbara McMillan of Troy; children Martin McMillan and wife Lainia of Lakewood, Wash.; Dale McMillan of Troy; Rita McMillan of Big Bear Lake, Calif.; a sister, Judy Heika, of Staten Island, N.Y.; three grandchildren Gerald, Kimberly, and Maxamillan; a greatgrandchild, Kadian; and threestep-brothers, Bill Schull of Libby; Russell Schull of Spokane, Wash.; and Michael Schull of Columbia Falls, Mont.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday July 7, 2012, at the Raan Family Cemetery.  

Local arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
