Banner Lineman

Christie Ellwood, right, and Pam Rhodes hold a repaired banner that will hang on Mineral Avenue with the help of Flathead Electric Cooperative lineman Lance Williams, in bucket lift. Ellwood recovered and repaired 24 of the banners found stored at Libby City Cemetery. The banners will line Mineral Avenue from the train station to Lincoln Boulevard and one side of California Avenue. The banners, which feature mountain scenes, trout and other indigenous aspects of Libby, are green, blue and teal in color. Ellwood called Wendy Ostrom-Price at Flathead Electric who inquired to Williams, who then offered his assistance. Ellwood said the banners had not adorned the city streets for two years.
