Quilters will assist at Dec. 15 meeting

| December 11, 2012 10:58 AM

The Kootenai Valley Quilt Guild has answers to quilting questions, and they are willing to share their knowledge as they do the third Saturday of each month.

This month, on Dec. 15, Monica Webb will present “Quilt It Your Way: Fusible Web and Other Quilter Aids.” Her presentation will conclude with her guiding quilters through making a molded fabric bowl.

Her presentation will begin at 10 a.m., and her presentation has but one statement of advice: “Yes, you can do it.”

The invitation is made for interested quilters to join the session, if:

• You are a beginner wondering whether quilting is something you might like to learn;

• You have a project with which you need assistance;

•  You want to try quilting but don’t want to invest in the equipment until you’re sure it’s for you.

On Dec. 15,  the club will be at the Libby High School home-ec Room.

The guild always welcomes visitors and new adult students.

Attendees don’t have to bring anything but yourself.  Sewing machines and supplies are provided.

They will have mentors available to help and to answer questions.

Snacks and bottled water will be available.

Bring a sweater in case the room is cool.

Attendees should bring a  lunch and beverage if they like. The quilting experts will be there as long as they are wanted.

“Quilt ‘til you wilt” is an ongoing community education service provided by the Kootenai Valley Quilt Guild.

For more information, persons are urged to call Monica Webb, 293-7404  or  e-mail johnmonwebb@msn.com.
