Helen L. Hedahl, 89, formerly of Libby

Helen Laverne Larson Hedahl, 89, formerly of Libby, surround by her family, went to be with her Lord, on Nov. 20, 2012, at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Chester, Va.

Helen was born Feb. 7, 1923, in Ada, Minn., to her loving parents, Peter and Minnie Langeland Larson. 

She was married to Kermit Hartvig Hedahl for 62

years. Together they had four children: Keith Arlen, Ray Eugene, Bevin Jane, and

Wayne Peter.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend. She was a faithful Christian and an example to all who knew her. She loved her family and friends. They gladly returned her love.

She is survived by her son, Keith (Sara) Hedahl of Libby; daughter, Bevin (William) Wyatt, Sr., of Chester, Va.; a son, Wayne Hedahl of Libby; and daughter-in-law, Kathy (Gary) Muckala of Missoula. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Rebekah Hedahl, Joshua Hedahl, Jason (Annelise) Hedahl, Bethany (Dennis) Hedahl, Jeremy (Kimberly) Hedahl, Eli (Tasha) Hedahl, Leslie (Sean) Jansen, Sarah Wyatt, William (Sabrina) Wyatt, Jr. 

Three great-grandchildren also survive, including Audrey Hedahl, Kade Hedahl and Wyatt Hedahl.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit; her son, Ray; granddaughter, Lacie Ann Hedahl; parents, Minnie and Peter Larson; brother- and sister-in-law, Orval and Bernice Larson.

A memorial service is planned for mid-June at Christ Lutheran Church in Libby. 

Helen’s remains will be buried with her husband, Kermit, after the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Altar Guild of Christ Lutheran Church, Libby.
