Libby motorist Rudolph Joseph Dill, 29, was eastbound at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, in a 1989 Toyota All-Trek, when he crossed the center lane and westbound lanes on Highway 2.

The Toyota leapt over the curb and sped down the grassy-embankment toward the Heritage Museum. As the vehicle continues, the car struck a large ornamental-iron wheel at the entrance.

The force from the vehicle was enough to seperate the wheel from its concrete base. The became airborne, crossing the driveway and grazed two trees.

The Toyota then ricocheted and hit the second tree head-on, bringing it to a complete stop. Dill was not wearing a seatbelt. Police are investigating the use of alcohol as a cause of the accident.
