Letter: Time for change on Troy council

| January 27, 2011 8:23 PM

Dear Editor:

I am so ashamed of the Troy City Council. They show no care or respect for the people of Troy.

Since elected, they have done nothing to improve the City of Troy and have acted like a bunch of spoiled brats when opposed and continue to make Troy the laughing stock of Montana.

Ethics don’t seem to be a strong point on their recorded meeting minutes. The tape is public record.

We now have no city attorney because an unbiased committee picked the wrong candidate (in their opinion). The whole process will now have to begin again. Guilty people will not be prosecuted and revenue will continue to be lost until they get their way.

Their pet ordinance concerning the Fourth of July was passed over the mayor’s veto. As a result, there will be no custom cars in the parade or at Roosevelt field. But there will be a beer garden and high-paid band.

In my opinion, we need to get rid of the idiots on the council and appoint some people who will work for the improvement of Troy and not drag it down any farther than the present council has already done.

It’s time to get the raven out of the picture.

Joe Arts
