Letter: National Guard extends symphathies

| March 9, 2010 11:00 PM

(Editor’s note: The following was addressed as a letter to the community):

The Montana National Guard and the communities of Columbia Falls and Libby suffered a great loss last weekend with the tragic passing of members of the Bauer and Colclough families from the Flathead and Lincoln county areas.

The loss of loved ones, friends, neighbors and a soldier requires that we lean on one another and come together as a community. These losses are shared by all of us.

On behalf of the approximately 3,700 Montana Army and Air National Guard members, I extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to all families involved in that accident. Please know that the soldiers and the airmen of the Montana National Guard will be praying with you and mourning the loss of one of our own as well.

Brig. Gen. John Walsh Montana Adjutant General, Montana National Guard
