Boys Basketball: Libby falters in 4th in loss to Glacier

The Libby High School boys basketball team jumped out to a 12-2 lead in the first quarter and held a seven-point advantage at halftime but came out cold in the fourth quarter in a 65-41 loss to Glacier.

Heading into the fourth quarter, the Wolfpack trailed by one point but finished with a flurry by outscoring the Loggers, 27-2, over the final eight minutes.

Shay Smithwick-Hann and Grahm Schmaltz led Glacier with 20 and 19 points, respectively. Colton Cannon scored 16 points for the Loggers on six field goals and 4-of-6 free throws.

Libby (2-2, 5-6) is slated to play at Eureka on Friday and at home against Whitefish on Saturday. The varsity boys start on Saturday is set for 6 p.m.
