The Libby High School girls basketball team opened Northwestern A play on Friday with a 54-44 setback at Columbia Falls.

The Wildkats jumped out to a 20-5 lead in the opening quarter to take control early. The Lady Loggers got their offense going in the second half but could not climb out of the hole.

Jackie Mee led a trio of LHS players to hit double digits in the scoring department. Mee hit for 14 points while Jaime Gilden and Alysha Martin each added 10.

Libby came home on Saturday and rolled to a 55-22 victory over Ronan.

Mee found a nice rhythm with four 3-pointers and 29 points. Logan Best also finished in double figures with 10 points.

Libby turned a six-point lead after the first quarter into a 19-point advantage at the break after going on a 15-2 run.
