Mrs. Peterson enjoyed huckleberry picking, fishing, her grandchildren, playing cribbage and bingo, and had developed a reputation as one of the best cooks around.

“She dedicated many years to caring for her invalid daughter, Marilyn, and went to the Libby Care Center two or three times a day until her death in 1984,” family said. “She was an independent woman until the day she left us.”

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, in 1993; daughter, Marilyn, in 1984; her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by three sons, Don of Ajo, Ariz.; Jim of Kalispell; Doug of Winnemucca, Nev.; daughter, DeeDee of Kalispell; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
