The Libby High School girls basketball team saw its season come to an end on Saturday at the Northwestern A Tournament in Kalispell.

The Lady Loggers fell in the semifinals, 38-32, to Polson on Friday before defeating Ronan, 51-31, on Saturday. Columbia Falls downed Polson on Saturday evening for the championship and since the Pirates had beaten LHS, no challenge game was necessary.

In the semis, Polson led the Lady Loggers 18-6 at halftime and then held on in the second half.

Jackie Mee scored 10 points for LHS. LaRona Luscher hit a trio of 3-pointers for nine points.

In the win over Ronan, Mee's final game in an LHS basketball uniform was significant with 25 points – including three 3-pointers and 10-of-14 at the free-throw line – and three steals. Luscher, also a senior, scored 11 points.

Libby steaily pulled away with a 25-14 lead by halftime. The Loggers went on a 13-4 run in the third quarter to bag the victory.
