Sports Update: Whitefish boys down LHS

The Libby High School boys basketball team wrapped up regular-season play in the Northwestern A Conference on Thursday night with a 49-40 setback to Whitefish.

The Bulldogs broke the game open in the fourth quarter after leading, 33-31, at the end of three. Kelly May scored 21 points for LHS, which compiled a 3-5 record in the region.

Gage Vasquez and Connor Silliker led Whitefish with 17 and 16 points, respectively.

Libby (8-10 overall) will now turn its attention to the conference tournament, scheduled for Feb. 25-27 in Kalispell.
