The St. John’s Lutheran Hospital Board

of Trustees recently welcomed Sarah Dinning as a new member.

Dinning took a seat on the board in

August, replacing retiring board member Connie Welter.

“When selecting new members, our board

of trustees has always tried to look for perspectives that are not

currently represented,” SJLH chief executive officer Bill Patten

said. “The board had this goal in mind when they selected Sarah

Dining to serve as a trustee. As a dental hygienist, Sarah will be

able to offer an enhanced medical perspective that will prove very

useful.”

Patten said it has been a long time

since someone from the dental profession had been represented on

the board. Dinning also has strong ties to the business community

with her husband’s ownership of Tungsten Holdings.

Dinning moved to Libby 21 years ago

after completing a degree in dental hygiene. She works as a

hygienist with Dr. Richard Wood, where she has been employed for 21

years.

Dinning has been married to her

husband, Jay, for 20 years and they have two children together.

Their daughter, Riley, is attending her third year at the

University of Montana where she is pursuing a career in nursing,

and their son, Crawford, is currently a senior at Libby High School

where he played on the state championship soccer team and serves as

student body president.
