Libby football team wins opener

| August 28, 2010 10:37 PM

Very exciting game in Libby tonight. The Loggers defeated Timberlake, Idaho, 26-22. The visitors almost pulled out a win in the end after scoring on a long pass play and then recovering an onside kick. But the Libby defense held on for the victory.

I'll be adding up stats and writing the story tomorrow so you can look for that. My impressions of the game tonight – kicker Patrick Valentine can really boot the ball; field position was a factor ... Joe Coker can really hit hard ... Corey Chapman displayed good field vision ... the linemen can hold their own ... the defense made key plays when they had to ... Neil Fuller and his staff know how to coach.
