Connie Ramsey

Connie Lee Ramsey, 62, died on Friday June 19, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital with her daughter, Lori, by her side.

She was born April 11, 1947 at Providence, R.I. She lived in Rhode Island when she married Allen Ramsey. They moved to Libby where they raised their three children, Becky, Susan and Lori.

Mrs. Ramsey played softball and belonged to the women’s pool league for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, Yahtzee nights with her friend of 35-plus years, Carolyn Hamann. She also enjoyed trips to the Coeur d’Alene Casino to play bingo with her friend, Kathie Moffet.

She was preceded in death by her husband; father, George White Sr.; mother, Irene Craven; stepfather, Ted Craven; and brother, Paul White.

She is survived by her daughters, Becky Kelly and husband Steve of Greentown, Pa.; Susan Ownby and husband Michael of Spokane, Wash.; and Lori Wise and husband Mike of Libby; two sisters, Debbie Guindon and husband Donald and Candy Craven – all of Coventry, R.I.; three brothers, George White and wife Linda of Charlestown, R.I.; Dave White and wife Nancy of Boiling Springs, S.C.; and Terry Craven of Spokane, Wash.; four grandsons, Michael Wise, Timothy Forslund, Jonathon Kelly, and Paul Ownby; five granddaughters, Christany Kelly, Jennifer Kelly, Tommi Wise, Summer Ownby and Autumn Ownby; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday, June 26, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home Chapel at 422 W. Second St., in Libby.
