Letter: Nice to keep in touch with home

| July 2, 2009 12:00 AM

Dear Editor:

I would like to comment on the e-paper

(www.thewesternnews.com) I read on a daily basis.

I’m far from home and live in New Jersey now. I miss all the seasonal activities in Libby, so reading your local news keeps me in touch with the life I led when I was young and until at least 19.

My dad is Warren Denny, who volunteers at the old museum just outside of town. He has lived there most of his life and once worked at St. Regis when it was open and also was a member of the National Guard there.

I’m proud of my dad for many things and hopefully will be able to visit once again soon. I’ve been in the military for over 20 years and had visited many countries to which I’m glad to know that no matter what I have done or seen in my experience, my hometown will be in my heart forever.

Hopefully when it comes to my time to pass on, it will be on the very stomping grounds I call home.

Thank you for listening and I pray all who experience Libby will be enriched with true beauty at its finest. Thank you and keep on doing what you’re doing.

Go Loggers.

Wendell Denny
