Western B tourney: Thompson Falls eliminates Troy

The Troy High School boys basketball team’s season ended Thursday at the Western B tournament in Pablo with a 65-63 loss to Thompson Falls.

The Trojans’ loss was especially painful after leading by 14 points heading into the fourth quarter. The Bluehawks outscored Troy, 25-9, in the final frame. Thompson Falls’ Chuck Clark got hot in the fourth by scoring nine of his 14 points.

Troy had a well-balanced offensive attack with four players in double figures. Jesse Day led with 14 points, Aaron Palmer scored 12, Brian Hammrich hit for 11 and Shado Garrett added 10.

The Trojans end the season with a 13-9 record.
