Saturday Sports Update

The Troy High School boys basketball team dropped a 63-51 decision to Thompson Falls in the opening round of the District 7-B tournament on Friday at Libby.

The Trojans dropped into the third-place game on Saturday against Eureka.

Thompson Falls had lost to Troy twice during the regular season. This time around, the Bluehawks never trailed and held off a late Trojan charge to garner the victory.

Clayton Kyriss, Jesse Day and Shado Garrett each scored a dozen points for Troy. Kyriss had four 3-pointers.
