The Irish Fair Committee in Libby announced its schedule and plans for this year’s event on March 14.

The committee’s Eileen Carney said the fair arrives each year in March on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day as a “popular attraction to get people’s minds off of the cold and snow of winter.

The fair’s lineup includes:

• Finnegan Ridge, a music group from Bozeman, will provide the evening’s entertainment with its unique Celtic sound. The group plays traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, England, Canada and America with a blend of high-energy instrumentals and powerful and melodic vocal harmonies.

• Celtic Cross Dancers from Kalispell will also perform. A troupe of eight dancers will perform.

• Craft fair at the Memorial Center from 10 a.m-4 p.m. with Irish crafts, foods and books for sale.

• Free on-stage entertainment during the day with local musicians playing and a Irish joke-telling emcee.

• An Irish pastry-baking contest, a new addition this year.
