Lydia A. Robinson

Lydia A. Robinson, 78, of Libby died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at her home in Libby from natural causes.

One of 16 children, she was born in Nurnburg, Germany. As a child, she attended a country school through the eighth grade. She then attended a trade school for bookkeeping. She was 9 years old when World War II broke out. During the war, she spent over two years in a youth camp.

She married Albert Robinson in 1963. In 1965 she moved with her husband to the United States and they settled in Ohio. Mrs. Robinson worked for a department store for a number of years.

In April 2005, she moved to Libby.

Mrs. Robinson enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cross stitch. Her parents and 12 brothers and sisters preceded her in death. 

Survivors include two sisters, Linda Johnson of Libby; and Helga Brandl of Germany; two brothers Heinz and Ervin Lehner – both of Germany; and a niece, Debbie Switzer of Libby.

Services will be Saturday Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Church of God in Libby. Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home handled arrangements.
