The lineup of holiday events continues this weekend at the Libby Memorial Center with the Festival of Trees and the annual Treasure Tones performance.

The 15th annual St. John’s Lutheran Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Trees opens Friday, Dec. 11 with Community/Family Night and concludes Saturday, Dec. 12 with the Holiday Fundraising Gala celebration.

The festival features an exhibit of holiday trees, hand-decorated and displayed by local merchants and organizations.

Family activities on Friday are free with the doors open from 3-8 p.m. A hot cider and bake sale, as well as a Christmas craft sale, will run from 3-7:30 p.m. Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves along with children’s activities will go from 5-8 p.m.

The Kootenai Karacters will entertain children as the elves and a professional photographer will be on hand (personal cameras are welcome).

Saturday’s gala begins at 6 p.m. and continues until midnight. Bryan Lloyd will entertain among the trees. An auction, raffles and hors d’oeuvres are all part of the evening. The event raises money for St. John’s Lutheran Hospital’s new building project.

Tickets will not be available at the door for the gala dance on Saturday evening, and are available through reservation. Call Kate Stephens at 293-0187 to reserve tickets.
