Myrl J. Carr

Myrl J. Carr, 72, of Libby died from natural causes on Friday, April 10, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Hospital.

She was born March 18, 1936 in Browning to John and Mary Smith Cassidy. She grew up in Babb and attended a boarding school. She finished her education in Ketchum, Idaho.

On Nov. 23, 1956 she married Carmel Carr and they made their home in Troy. They moved back to Babb until October 1979 and then they returned to Troy. In 1982 they moved to Libby.

Mrs. Carr enjoyed quilting, reading, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989.

Survivors include her children, Mark Carr of Libby; Theresa Cubberly and husband, Peter, of Libby; Ashley Carr and wife, Kitty, of Columbia Falls; and Delores Stratton of Huson; sisters, Amy and Mary Lou; and 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, April 18 at 4:30 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Libby. Following the service, there will be a pot-luck dinner at the church.

Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby handled arrangements.
