The managers, heated pool and prices will stay the same when Libby’s Super 8 Motel at 448 U.S. Highway 2W changes over to a Rodeway Inn on July 8.

“It’s the same service and same management — just a different name,” said Deb Stedding, director of operations for the hotel’s management company, United Enterprises. “The managers have been with the property since the company opened it 18 years ago.”

Stedding said most of the changes involved minor landscaping and interior modifications.

“The building is being painted different colors,” she said.

Rodeway Inn also updated the lighting, purchased new televisions and added electronic door locks.

They decided to become a Rodeway Inn after their franchise was up and another Choice Hotels chain became an option, Stedding said.

“We thought it would be easier to have most of our hotels under the same flag,” she said.

Choice Hotels International is a hospitality holding corporation, which owns several hotel brands and is based in Silver Spring, Md. Hotels include Comfort Suites, Quality Inn, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites, Mainstay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Econo Lodge and Rodeway Inn.

Gold Inn Hospitality Inc. has seven other properties throughout the country, including Deerlodge, Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota and Minnesota.

“We’re excited about the change,” said Stedding. “We look forward to continue doing business in Libby, and look forward to many more years.”
