Louaine C. Posey

Louaine Posey, of Everett, Wash. died on Dec. 15, 2007.

Louaine, the oldest of four daughters born to Lester and Mildred Floch was born in Moscow, Idaho on July 26, 1935.

She grew up in the Pullman, Wash. area with her sisters; Jeanne Trudel of Ontario, Canada, Patricia Wingo and Pamela Whittekiend of Spokane, Wash. Her family moved to the Lake Stevens area where she graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1953.

Louaine was married to David Skinner from 1955 to 1975. They had five children: Teresa, James, Catherine, Beckie and John. In 1977 Louaine married Charles Posey and they lived in the Monroe/Gold Bar area until Charles passed away in 1994.

She moved to Libby in 1997 with her son John and her beloved miniature dachshund, Skeezix. She enjoyed crafts, decorating the inside and outside of her home every imaginable holiday, baking cookies and fruit cake for the fire and police departments, senior centers, family and friends. She frequently traveled back to the Everett area to visit children and grandchildren. After suffering a heart attack and kidney failure in 2006, Louaine moved to Everett to be near her daughters.

Louaine lived at Forest View Transitional Health Center for the past year, and made many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Patricia.

Survivors include nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
