| February 26, 2008 11:00 PM

On Thursday, Feb. 14, Lincoln County Sheriff's Det. Shane Hight was notified by members of the Bonner County Sheriff's Office in Idaho that they had arrested Jerry Wilburn of Libby.

Wilburn was arrested during a traffic stop/investigation that yielded about one-half pound of marijuana.

Wilburn has been the subject of an active marijuana sales investigation for approximately three years, led by Hight. Hight used the information he had accumulated during his investigation and that obtained by Bonner County, to obtain a search warrant for Wilburn's residence, located at 51 Glendora Ave. in Libby.

Later that night, Hight and other members of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office served the search warrant on Wilburn's residence. Multiple items of drug paraphernalia including marijuana pipes, packaging material and scales were seized along with just over one-half pound of marijuana.

No local charges have been filed on Wilburn at this time and the investigation is still ongoing.
