Santa to appear on Dec. 13 at Troy store

The Troy PTA will host an appearance by Santa Claus at Stein’s in Troy on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Santa will be available from 1-3 p.m. Free photos of Santa and children will be available.

December potluck set for Christ Lutheran

The Libby Diabetes Awareness and Support Group and St. John’s Lutheran Hospital are sponsoring a December potluck on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at Christ Lutheran Church in Libby.

The evening will include food, games and prizes. The church is located at 200 W. Larch St.

Archery club plans to meet on Dec. 11

The Libby Archery Club will meet on Thursday, Dec. 11, at First National Bank.

The club plans to discuss its winter league and range shooting starting Jan. 1.

Libby Care Center offers holiday cheer

The Libby Care Center invites all to enjoy cookies and cider following the Libby Parade of Lights on Friday, Dec. 5.

The care center will serve from 7-9 p.m.

Rehberg staffer in Libby on Dec. 12

Montana Congressman Denny Rehberg’s congressional field representative, Maren Olsen, will be conducting traveling office hours in Libby on Friday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m., at Libby City Hall.

Constituents are free to drop by the location or call Olsen in Rehberg’s Missoula District office for an appointment, 406-543-9550.

Treasure Tones concert hits Libby on Dec. 14

Libby’s Treasure Tones will present its annual Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m., at the Memorial Center.

Joining the Treasure Tones as guest performers will be Loraine Braun’s Select Choir from the middle school and the Libby High School Show Choir. Tony Smith and his newly organized Going to the Sun Singers will also showcase their talents with the choral ensemble.

The Treasure Tones also welcome the 2008 Junior Tones to join them in bringing Christmas to the community in a variety of musical styles.

No admission is charged but a cash donation is requested for the benefit of the Libby Food Pantry.
