The Lady Trojans are tied for third going into Districts this Friday in Eureka when they beat the Plains Trotters at home last Thursday night. Beating them in three games, 25-10, 25-18 and 25-20, Troy volleyball coach Sandra Jansma was delighted with the outcome.

"It's the first game we've won in three," she said. "We're getting stronger and stronger heading into Districts."

Senior Liz Straley made all 16 assists of the game, also leading in aces with 9 of the 19 aces.

Senior Delsey Olds led in kills, making 10 of the 22 total. Olds also led the way in digs, along with senior Brandy Koch, making 2 a piece of the 10 for the team.

Of the four blocks for the team, two sophomores, Ashley Paasch and Kristin Parks, each made one, along with Olds and senior Megan Etienne.

Jansma credits their viewing of the film from their last game against Plains as a way to pinpoint their weaknesses.

"They were ready and up for it," she said.
