The Troy Trojans are hitting a rough patch in their season with two losses last week.

The Trojans played against Stillwater on Tuesday, Sept. 25 and lost in three, scoring 14-25, 15-25 and 15-25.

The team came away with 7 assists, 11 aces, 8 kills and 17 digs. Seniors Delsey Olds and Liz Straley each came away with 4 aces. Olds also had 4 kills and 5 digs.

In the Saturday game against Plains the Lady Trojans held on and eventually lost in five games, with scores of 25-14, 25-16, 24-26, 20-25 and 11-15.

"We're halfway through the season," said Coach Sandra Jansma. "Good things are happening and we gotta put it all together."

Straley had all 17 assists for the team and 20 aces. There were 3 blocks and 20 kills. Olds contributed 6 kills for the team. Of the 28 team digs, senior Brandy Koch had 5 and junior Alicia Anderson also had 5 digs.

"Delsey was ruling the net," Jansma said. "Liz was doing some great things out there."

The Lady Trojans play against Eureka on Thursday and they play in their homecoming game on Saturday against Thompson Falls.

"We need to click and make it more consistent," Jansma explained. "We haven't won the game until the last buzzer sounds."
