Russell A. Lundin

Russell A. Lundin, 46, died Tuesday Sept. 25, 2007 at his home up Pipe Creek from natural causes.

He was born Dec. 20, 1960 in Libby to Clayton "Bud" & Margurite Gervais Lundin.

He grew up and attended school in Libby and graduated from Libby High School in 1979.

Russell loved the out of doors. He went to work in the woods right out of high school. He worked sawing logs all over the western United States; California, Oregon, Alaska and Montana.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially enjoyed hunting camp with his brothers.

He also enjoyed trapping, his horses, snow cat riding, telling stories and reading. Russell was also a good neighbor, he was willing to help out when he could.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include three brothers: Skip Gervais of Belgrade; Lonnie Lundin and his wife Peggy of Libby; and Darrell Lundin and his wife Elaine of Libby; sister Gwen Combs and her husband Chuck of Napa, Idaho; step-mother Doris Lundin of Libby; step-brother Richard Halsey of Libby; step-sisters Brenda Halsey of Spokane, Wash.; Linda O'Brien and her husband Rick of Libby; nieces and nephews Sean Lundin, Jessi Nelson, Caitlyn Lundin, Shanita Lundin, Clayton Lundin, Heather Young, Daniel Gardiner, Joshua Gardiner, Andrew Gardiner, Leah Gardiner, Sarah Combs, Hanna Combs and Skip Gervais Jr.

Services were held on Monday, Oct. 1, 2007 at the Libby Christian Church. Local arrangements are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby.
