Ronald C. "Ron" Hoffman

Ronald C. "Ron" Hoffman, 64, formerly of Libby, died May 4, in Port Angeles, Wash., after a long and brave battle with emphysema.

He was born in 1942 to Clarence and Mary Mason Hoffman in Crookston, Minn. He moved to Libby in 1955, where he worked at the St. Regis Paper Company. Ron moved to Port Angeles in 1972, where he drove truck throughout the Northwest.

He is survived by; good friend and mother of his children, Jeanette Hoffman of Mountain Home, Idaho; children, Kathy Landis and Kevin of Libby; Scott Hoffman and Jennifer of Troy; Kim Peterman and Rick of Mountain Home, Idaho; brother Leroy "Butch" and wife Sheila of Buhl, Minn.; sisters, Barbara Didier and husband Fred of Longview, Wash.; Carol Burriss and husband Bill, Sharon Michels and husband Jerry, all of Libby; grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Steven, Adam, Alex, Austin, Chris, Kody, Shaina, Kaitlin, Mason, Kylie, Anthony, Gunner and Haylee; and several nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Chris Tester, and a niece.

He was a wonderful father, grandfather and brother and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His wish was to have no memorial service. He will be cremated and placed with his daughter at Mr. Angeles Cemetery in Port Angeles, Wash.
