Thanking the medical providers

| July 6, 2007 12:00 AM

To the Editor:

Doctor appointments, lab work, emergency room visits….none of these really conjure up warm, fun, enjoyable memories I am sure, but thanks to the excellent staff associated with St. John's Hospital I have had some great experiences in June.

There isn't enough room in this paper for me to explain all of the issues and reasons that I have had so many "encounters" with St. John's staff the past three weeks, but I will say the reason that I am thankful to live in Libby and have this hospital and doctors close by.

Dr. Cambers cares enough about her patients to go the extra mile to see what is really at the root of things.

Dr. Ercanbrack has been warm, caring, patient, thorough and amazing through all of the tests that I have had with him. Your staff is great too, thanks Ruth and Tina.

Karen, Laurie and all those on staff when I had my colonoscopy, thank you for your positive, friendly attitudes.

Dr. Becker and the entire X-ray staff, who made me comfortable despite the nasty, chalky crap I had to drink for my tests.

Dr. Hill and the two Amy's on staff the night I had to go to the emergency room because of a kidney stone attack. Thank you for making sure I was taken care of and ready to go home before you sent me out the door.

Lab staff, I have seen you a few times over the last three weeks, thanks for making it quick and pain free.

Tony, Eric, Frank, Erin and all those on staff on Saturday, June 30 when I came in to get my sliver removed. You were all amazing and kept me smiling while you removed the "log" from my leg.

Admissions staff are always there with a smile on their faces to get me in and out as quickly as possible.

I am sure there are others that I am forgetting and hopefully someday I will get a chance to say thank you to you guys as well. But take a look at this list and I hope everyone sees how lucky we are in Libby to have the medical facility and staff that we do. I know a lot of people go out of town for medical care, but next time I hope you consider staying here and supporting the local doctors who help make this a great community to live in.
