Peggy Lee

Peggy Lee, 83, of Libby died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007 at her home in Libby from natural causes. She was born Dec. 12, 1924 in St. Maries, Idaho to David and Emma Reneck May. Peggy's dad was in the military and consequently as a child she lived in numerous places thoughout the country.

As a young adult she worked at a cedar mill in Weippe, Idaho for 4 years. She then went to work doing home health care from 1978 through 1983. After she retired she traveled the country in mobile homes. Peggy loved crafts especially quilting. She was often found taking designs out of color books for her quilt project. She would often give her quilts away to whoever needed one and also took them to the pregnancy care center. Peggy enjoyed doing beadwork and making jewelry out of porcupine quills. She was always busy doing something. A grandson and granddaughter preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children Jenny Kair and her husband Brian of Libby, Isaac Spicer and his wife Vicky of Kooskie, Idaho, Naomi Snider and husband Boyd of Orofino, Idaho, Curtis Williams of Kennewick, Wash.; two sisters Margaret Welch and her husband Clarence of Pasco, Wash. and Polly McPhee and her husband Herb of Oregon; brother Ted Johnson and his wife Jackie of Pasco; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held. Local arrangements are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby.
