Who is responsible for hike in hunting, fishing license fees?

To the Editor:

I would like to know who is in charge of setting the fees for our hunting and fishing "privileges." As far as I know, and according to the research I've done, neither the general public nor the licensed sportsman were invited to vote on this issue.

I'd say this last price hike is, to say the least, a little hefty. Do they think that because they're charging two payments totaling $130 for a $78 moose permit that we're too moronic to figure this out?

I personally won't be affected by that change because I was lucky enough to have been drawn last year and won't be eligible to apply again until 2013 when hunting may well be a thing of the past, what, with MFWP pricing a tag like it was a barrel of Arab oil and the USFWS in their infinite wisdom, flooding our forests and ranchlands with all those cute little fuzzy wolves that are devouring the herds that we are paying too much to maintain in the interest of hunting.

Not to mention the "isolated" livestock attacks.

Hey, our forefathers got rid of them for a reason.
