James Hogue

James N. Hogue, 61, of Franklin, Ind., and husband of former Troy resident Barbara June Hensley, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006.

He was born in Stockton, Calif., to James Harry Hogue and the late Barbara Ann Quenell Johnson.

Jim was raised and educated in Stockton.

He served in the Navy.

Jim married Barbara Hensley on March 11, 1972.

He was employed by Martin-Marietta Aluminum Co. in Goldendale, Wash., from 1974 to 1987 and Commonwealth Aluminum Co. of Lewisport, Ky., from 1987 to 1989. Jim worked for Federal Mogul of Greensburg, now NTN-BCA, from 1992 to 2002 and then as a truck driver for United Armor Services of Indiana.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

An avid sports fan, Jim enjoyed watching football and traveling.

He helped raise his niece, Donna, and loved all his nieces and nephews.

Jim is survived by his wife; his father and stepmother, Bettilu Hogue of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; brothers William "Bill" Hogue of Fort Worth, Texas, and Russell D. Hogue of Marysville, Calif.; sisters Janice Ritzer of Nine Mile Falls, Wash., and Patty Wilkinson of Garfield, Wash.; nieces Donna Hensley, Emily, Ashley and Veronica "Roni" Hogue; and nephews Buck Hensley, and Tom and Joshua Hogue.

Jim also was preceded in death by his in-laws Bud Hensley and Hazel Hensley Christensen, and brother-in-law Don Hensley.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby. Interment with military honors will follow at Milnor Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time on Saturday.
