Berma Clemons

Berma Clemons, 89, of Libby died Monday, April 3, 2006, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital from natural causes.

She was born Oct. 20, 1916, in Gilbert, Ariz., to Louis and Petra Koch Hansen. She grew up near Webb and McNeil, Ariz. She attended grade school in Webb and high school in Pierce, Ariz.

Berma married Clarence Clemons in 1944 at Kalispell. They moved to Libby in 1946. In 1954 they moved to Rexford but returned to Libby in 1958.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, sewing, gardening and baking.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence; five sisters, Gertrude Slover, Gladys Hansen, Beulah Hansen, Marguerite Tracy and Mamie Hansen; and a brother, Elmer Hansen.

Survivors include daughter Petra Williams of Libby; two sons, James (Louis) Clemons and his wife Nancy of Denver, Colo.; John Clemons and his wife Maggie of Libby; 10 grandchildren, Mymy Cornelius, Kim Clemons, Michelle Negethon, John Clemons, Keith Williams, Jason Clemons, Justin Clemons, Alicia Clemons, Jeremy Clemons, Trudy Clemons, and several great grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, April 8, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Friday.
