•Friday, Oct 19: The Astronomy Club meets 6 p.m. at 324 White Ave. in Libby. After “chow and chatter” featuring Theresa Muniz’ fabulous soup, Scott Johnson will present Part 2 of “How Far Is That?” After the meeting, 2019 astronomy calendars will be ordered — call Laura at 406-293-2552 with desired quantity. •Wednesday, Oct. 24: A free screening of “Dark Money,” a documentary on attempts to corrupt elections in Montana, is 5:30 p.m. at the Libby campus of Flathead Valley Community College.

•Thursday, Oct. 25: The Libby High School Choir holds a fundraiser concert 7 p.m. at the Libby Memorial Events Center, featuring music from the movie “The Greatest Showman.” Admission is free but donations are welcome.

•Monday, Oct. 29: The Northwest Montana Chorale Express at 6:30 p.m. at the Troy High School auditorium, featuring school choirs from Libby, Troy, Eureka, Plains, Noxon and Thompson Falls performing together. The Libby Children’s Select Choir will open the show, and admission is free.

•Sunday, Oct. 28: The first polar bear plunge of the year happens 2 p.m. at the Libby Creek Bridge on Farm to Market Road. Everyone is welcome. For more information call 406-293-5014.

•Saturday, Nov. 3: Warren Miller’s “Face of Winter” will be screened at Dome Theater in Libby at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 and will benefit Turner Mountain Ski Area.

•Tuesday, Nov. 6: The Middle School choirs and Libby Children’s Select Choir’s Patriotic Concert is 7 p.m. at the Libby Memorial Events Center. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend this evening of songs honoring those who serve or have served our country.
